Lafayette, Ind Oct 17 – Mrs. Minnie Crowe, 78, mother of 12 children, including 7 sons who became Notre Dame University athletes died in Lafayette yesterday. Seven sons played football or basketball or both at Notre Dame. Three are active coaches Clem with Ottawa Rough Riders, a Canadian pro team and Leo and Emmet at high schools. Mrs. Crowe’s husband, James N. Crowe died in 1931. She lived until three months ago with a daughter, Mrs. Floyd Greenburg at Peterboro, NH. She was born in Fountain County Indiana and after her marriage in 1895 lived for many years in Shadeland, Indiana. – kbz
